I wouldn't say our exhaust is ever raspy, unless you add a header. If you were to add a front pipe, just make sure it's catted, and you'll be good.

It'll vary, but they should last for years as long as they're oiled enough and with the proper Uni Filter cleaner. If you own the intake for over 10 years, you'll probably have to replace the filter...

You mean you forgot to add the two brackets to push the bracket away from the filter? I'd take the bumper off to add them, it could put pressure on the filter and maybe cause it to break eventually....
