There is no corresponding piece for the passenger side. I was confused by this too but according to the parts diagrams I found like the one above, it doesn't exist.

Official spec is there should be no clearance for the plunger, ie. it should be pushed in all the way, but if the cluster is still showing the gear numbers when you’re driving, you should be fine.

I stand corrected- engine started just fine. I found a video of the ECU removal and saw that connector unused. Kind of strange that this part is listed as going into the car.
