Some newer Toyotas still have the filter on the bottom. '03 RAV4 I have kept the filter on the underside. Oil spills aren't much of a problem... plastic bags work wonders. And no need for a wrench.

Definately would be nice to have a diesel powered Suby stateside... Especially since 87 octane is now 30 cents MORE than diesel at the stations near me. (100% gas though, E-10 is still about 30 cents...

It would seem more likely that Scion would get the GRMN hot hatch that is being developed. Lightweight, RWD, and supposedly being around the $16,000 mark.Sounds more like a Scion than the '86 to me.

I agree, we need more diesels over here. Only real downside is needing block heaters in the winter if you don't have a garage to park in. Unless you don't see sub freezing temps in the winter.
