I had my ECU reflashed and it was/is NOT down on power, nor does it have crappy response. I don't believe it will magically get better. Good Luck getting it back to the way it was.

Yes, it does, but the fact that my ecu reflash was done while I still have the 5w-20 oil in it, suggests they can "allow" for it.
I have 1400 miles on my FR-S since the reflash, with the thicker oil...

the most "common" way I have seen the problem "created" is to change your oil. someone I know used 5w-20 instead of 0w-20 and threw the CEL in less than 5 miles.

Well, most serious codes turn on the CEL. I use a scan tool to check for codes. Some auto parts places do it for free. If you don't see a code, the dealer will say: "What problem? Show Me."
