I found the catless FP with stock midpipe and stock muffler sounded too raspy, like a Honda fart-can exhaust. The factory front pipe resonator removes a lot of rasp from the exhaust.

I've got just over 20K on the original HPFP and still get the crickets. They disappeared most of the winter but are back now for the summer, they may be marginally quieter than in the past though.
