Completely agree. The '17 is notably smoother in most respects (but I wouldn't call it "soft"). It reminds me of going from AP1 to AP2 in S2000 terms.

Intermittently it'll connect and won't show song titles (and the nav unit skip buttons won't work). Turning the car off and then on again always fixes this....

That's not what I said, but yes, the Evo is definitely comparable to supercars by virtue of the driving experience it lends to all drivers, even moderately skilled ones.

It's a matter of technique.

Evos are about speed at any cost, and they are damn quick but they require very little from the driver. The BRZ and FR-S, by comparison, give wildly different results...

IMO Evos are not sports cars, they are fast cars. There's a difference.
