You're only going to save $500-1000 doing it yourself. You still have to have all of the surfaces machined, cylinders honed (probably bored also), bearing mains polished, etc. If you just stick new...

Your local tuning shop puts out a great turbo kit. Go talk to them and they will guide you. You’re looking at 8-10k for everything since you’re not installing yourself.

Unfortunately this isn't the case for KW v3s. Bought the 2" raceseng rear top mounts with my coilovers and it top spring perch is actually 2" higher than the stock tops. There is not enough height...
