Unless they change it for the production model all signs from what we know say the FT-86 Concept Car at least sits on a modified Impreza platform and not the Legacy platform. Sorry for any confusion.

Yeah it might have been the RX-8. In either case the FT86 is 6 inches shorter lengthwise then my Yaris and 9 inches shorter height wise. I do see height being a problem for those sitting in the back...

Direct Injected will mean most likely an adaptive ECU if I remember correctly so any grade of standard fuel will work but I'm sure Toyota will reccommend Premimum for maximum performance.
