I felt like updated this now that I have actually made more progress on the car. T56 Magnum F with an MGW offset shifter set at 6 o'clock lines up very well.

Just bought the T6S in 18x8 +45 and only had .7mm clearance (way too little for heat expansion) factory clearance was 2.5mm.

Added on a 5mm spacer and they look pretty damn good.

The only way you know they were worn are the wear indicators or if they have no friction material left.

Even if there is no coolant passing over the temp sensor, it is still reading air temp. I don't think you have done any long term damage, you would have noticed it by now.

Going over the wiring diagram, the only thing really affected is the alternator fuse (ie, the fusible link on the battery positive block)
