In addition to both your valuable responses, I did a bit more digging and decided not to get the tires. It was a really good deal, but what the hell, winter is almost here, I'll stick to my winter...

I haven't changed to different sizes, so don't know much about the rule of thumbs. So, I'm assuming with the 6.9% I'd have a high risk of rubbing against the wheel arches? ...

I have a sweet deal if I get 235/50R17 on my stock wheels.
Currently it's 215/45R17 on 7.0J and I believe +48mm
Websites seem to suggest it'll fit.
Question is will it really fit and...
