Hoping its just something loose. but im getting the massive shake/rattle you'll see below whenever my AC is on, and whenever i come off the throttle.

ive read its possibly the throwout bearing?

What exhaust components did you just install? Sounds like you need to get back under there and recheck everything. Either something was left loose like you said or you don't have proper clearance around the new exhaust parts.

so installed my tomei header myself a month ago. no noise.

got my tomei OP and FP installed by Circuit Motorsports two weeks ago. noise started but i didnt think anything of it.

last friday installed my muffle delete. noise got LOUD under decel.

but it gets BAD when i turn my AC on so im lost

My guess would be at the overpipe. Not a lot of clearance there. Did you loosen your motor mount from the sub frame to jack up the motor when you installed the OP? Tighten it back down to spec? I think the AC and muffler delete are just amplifying the real problem, not the cause of it. Pull the OP and front pipe back off if you have to and look for signs of rubbing.

I had a shop do the install my floor jack wouldn't go high enough for me to do the OP install myself. guess I'm gonna have to bring it back to them :(

Yeah sorry, I missed that part. Definitely take it back and have them check it out cause whatever it is, it ain't right! But I'll bet a dollar it's related to the OP/FP install.

Isn't @Circuit Motorsports a vendor on here? I'm sure they would be more than happy to take a look at it!

I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO TAG THEM. OMG THANK YOU LOL

Ok so. Got underneath. Retightened everything to spec. Left my shields off and drove around. Still hear the noise. But only when I come off throttle. Could it be a massive back pressure surge? I'm still running the stock midpipe

I think I found the issue. Resonator sitting practically inside the tunnel. Might this be the problem??Attachment 121202

Most definitely adjust it if possible, otherwise I would put some sort of High temp rubber or dampening between the tunnel and resonator

If you are still having issues or want us to take a look at it just give us a call and we can schedule you in.

We normally take any car we work on for a road test before giving it back to the customer so if this was an issue that wasn't noticeable at the time or we didn't see/hear we apologize! If this arose after it left our shop, or just got more noticeable over time the best thing to do is just let us know so we can try and fix it for you.

Either way let us know and we'll be happy to help!
