Shifter rattles after CF driveshaft install?

I've recently got my DSS CF Driveshaft installed for my 2015 BRZ.

It drives fine at any given speed. However, whenever I go over 4k RPM the shift starts to rattle.

There is no vibrations of any sort in this car.

I've searched around any found that Shifter rattle is a common issue but my question is: did my driveshaft install cause it or is it a coincidence?

Thanks!

Do you have an aftermarket shift lever? Kartboy, etc...?

If it's RPM relative instead of being speed relative it's not the driveshaft. I'd put the car up in the air again and check for anything loose.

Even if you don't have an aftermarket shift lever, go under the car and check clearence from your driveshaft to your shift linkage.

Hi,

I had a similar rattle, and I found out that it is the pin holding the gear lever to the shift arm that causes this rattle.

Have a look here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...=58951&page=19

Good luck

i had a similar rattle that would happen at 4-6k on partial throttle and it ended up being my exhaust hitting my chassis, and the vibration working its way through where the front pipe bolts to the transmission for support.
