cheers
yeah tried chassis tag, chassis number etc. I googled it. even tried searching 4ugse 4u-gse (thinking this is the toyota engine code)? but didn't bring up much. So toyota is using the subaru coding? "ZN6" So Toyota not using the engine initial as the first initial in the chassis code anymore? hmmm |
haha. now i search on google.. i get this thread

Actually, I think the "6" in ZN6 is incorrect. The engine code in the VINs is "A". |
It should be ZN6
|
^^ mine is ZCA
|
Time to add two more chassis codes to my lexicon of useless nerd speak!
|
VIN's rarely correlate to the actual chassis code, this is true for both Subaru and Toyota. Toyota is not issuing any of their own chassis codes or model codes to this car, they are using Subaru-assigned codes across the board. ZN6 is the chassis code, FA20 is the engine code. It turns out 4U-GSE is not an official name for the engine.
