So thats what the WRB looks like true light. Did I miss something or is the Japanese BRZ more purple or is the color saturation increased from the camera?!

looks awesome!! i'd like to see more pictures. WRB tends to be very light sensitive. in most pics it looks either under or over exposed. i really want to see the Subie version in person! the concept looked great at the L.A. show last year.

Exactly. The pic from Canada makes it looked washed out. Hopefully the true color is more like the pic you just linked.

Zaku 02-07-2012 04:01 PM

I think it's just the WRB color, it just looks different in so many different light. Can you imagine if they offered it in Plasma Blue? ,people are gonna say ten different things about it.

tranzformer 02-07-2012 04:02 PM

I guess these pictures are highly dependent upon environment (lighting) as well as camera/lens use. The pics from Canada are probably taken with a camera phone vs. the one's from Tokyo with a professional SLR?

yeah and what i've learned is taking pictures at AUto show is a B***** lighting is so hard to get right. Hoping Baltimore Autoshow isn't going to have bad lighting.

It didn't look like that in person, although that was under artificial light..

Yeah, I hope it's a very poor camera phone pic because that is a big transformation in between colors compared to the WRB we've been seeing lately.

Yeah, it's very difficult to capture the accurate color with indoor flourescent lighting.

Subaruwrxfan 02-07-2012 05:58 PM

Nice find! Those LEDs look awesome! I just hope I have the option to turn them off and just run the halos. Blue is really the only color I want, I'm a Subaru fanboy, and the blue is the only Subaru-exclusive color.

I'm not 100% happy with any of the colors sadly :( But it's so hard to really say until I can see the cars in person in the daylight

I'm feeling like the BIG winner ever since Dave got me added to our deal!

You would look good in that WRB Dave....:happy0180:

My Dark Grey is on the WAY!! :D

Hanzo 02-07-2012 09:18 PM

Color differences depends on the white balance setting on the camera.

In the cases of many of these photos, probably more in the lighting. I adjusted mine to get what I saw in my eyes to match the pic, but the WRB has massive differences depending on the lighting.

Yes there are many factors but white balance is where most people get color variations.

Here's a video I took of the one in Montreal Canada with my iPhone4.

You can see as the light hits it, it becomes very light, but when it has shadowing it's very dark.
