If red is at the PA auto show, I wonder what Color is that DC... anything but WRBII would be nice LOl

Dave-ROR 01-26-2012 12:08 PM

I'm hoping to DGM at some point before the pre order date.

I really want to see the car in DGM from as many angles as possible. Once the pre-order date is here I need to tell the dealership a color :)

Zaku 01-26-2012 12:16 PM

I got my SLR ready If it's DGM here I'll take hundred of pics for everyone LOL, someone take lots of the red in PA please our shows are at the same week.

Also, the WRB for the original BRZ show models was WRBII (a lighter, more metallic color than the traditional WRB) do we know if the final production color will be the traditional WRB or this new WRBII?

The WRBII on the first BRZ STI concept was indeed lighter with more pearl-essence. It was probably a one off color for the concept car like many of the body parts. It looks like production models will be the same WRB Subaru has been using.

I'm hoping so, but it's hard to tell since the auto shows are all SUPER bright so the production models appear to be lighter than the current WRB as well. Here's the STI S206 vs. the BRZ at the TMS (the lighting doesn't appear to be as bright around the STI S206)

I just came back from the Portland Auto Show. I saw the red BRZ but the car was roped out and people were not allowed to get near it. The Subaru person was saying the cars will be coming to dealers in 8 weeks.
I noticed that the hood had a dimple dent right next to the Subaru emblem.
The red looked as good as Ferrari red.

Was the Subaru guy a dealer or a representative?

Thanks! was this the Premium or Limited model. Could you get a view of the interior?

You actually placed a preorder, or just put down a deposit and told them in general what you want? My understanding is that the preorder system is not open at this point.

Please clarify.

Don't get too crazy guys... We have had so many dates/times thrown out by Subaru/Scion personnel that we can't take stock in one fully.

As much as I would love for it to be 8 weeks, that doesn't sound very realistic...

Pre-order would mean you looked at the available trim levels and selected all applicable options and the car was ordered and you received an invoice for the final price. Placing a deposit to enter the waiting list to pre-order sounds more like what occurred.

Just having fun... I think most of us at this point know we still have about 9 weeks to go. :confused0068:

I am not sure. I was looking at the car when an older man was talking to the Subaru person. I went 'oh?' in my head also.

I don't know if it was Premium or Limited but they had the windows rolled down so I could look inside. It seemed like black Alcantra seats with red stitching.
The car looked much wider than I imagined. I wish it was smaller.
But yes, that red was the best looking red on the whole floor, full of cars from all different brands.

Tbxgz 01-26-2012 07:12 PM

Ya I noticed that as well from the spec sheets. I drive an ion which is fairly wide.. and the BRZ has roughly the same width
