Hey JL, did you buy the White dealer car from Regina?

Heh I met him a few weeks back, he was in Moose Jaw for the weekend. Told me he had the first BRZ in S'toon area. I know I'm the first in SW Saskatchewan ;)

It was pretty good overall. I gave a deposit on June 18 and picked it up exactly 4 weeks later. My original ETA was the end of July or early August so I was thrilled to get the call that it was in. The dealership was good and had no issues at all.

yormaX 07-27-2012 02:24 AM

Hey, Nice rides. Repp'n SK!

Jlturner 07-27-2012 11:06 AM

I was out last night cruising around and saw a White BRZ parked downtown Saskatoon. Wonder if he/she is on here? That is the second BRZ I've come across but yet to see a FRS..

I believe he just bought that one from Auto Gallery Regina. They told me that they had ordered a white one in for someone in S'toon ;)

I spotted a Raven FR-S in Moose Jaw about a week ago, not sure if it's local though, also spotted a WRB BRZ, pretty sure he was passing through

Jlturner 07-27-2012 06:11 PM

I would be great if these cars are local, we could possibly have a Sask meet sometime!

yormaX 07-27-2012 09:14 PM

I was down at the river bank in S'toon riding my bicycle and this suddenly appeared.

Sorry for the quality, not sure what went wrong, it might be the memory card....

Anyone know if Regina Scion or Taylor Scion got any FR-S in stock?

They have a blue auto and a manual hot lava. The blue is brand new, the lava has been a demo.

Didn't auto gallery mark theirs up $1500 over MSRP?

Good stuff, thanks for the information. Not the color i'm looking for or the transmission. But anyways, Protip: Taylor Scion you guys need to order White-Out FR-S's. They sell like hotcakes!

JPxM0Dz 08-05-2012 11:56 PM

Yup, but I whined about it :)

According to Subaru Canada, the Sport tech package is 30,999.00 before taxes

I paid 31,615.43 before taxes.

Saskatoon currently doesn't have a Scion dealership. The Toyota dealership is moving this fall to a new building and once they move they will become a Scion dealer.

JPxM0Dz 08-06-2012 11:47 AM

Suprising, always thought S'toon had a dealership. But I guess the Scion division is new to Canada
Taylor Scion of Regina is good to work with if your in the the market for an FR-S
I originally preorded with them, then found a BRZ. No questions asked when retrieving my deposit

Do you have any source to confirm this? If so, where did you hear this information. If they're going to open a Scion dealership, that will be pretty epic! I'll trade in my Civic! LOL :happyanim:

Ens Toyota is a customer of mine, I was told by numerous people there that they will be a Scion dealer when they move. They said they were moving this fall but I don't even think they have started construction on the new building so guaranteed it will be a while before anything happens.

JPxM0Dz 08-07-2012 10:06 AM

So is Ens moving out to where all the other newer car dealers are located ?

SkAsphalt 08-07-2012 05:22 PM

This really pisses me off because it has been 7 weeks for me now and my car has not arrived - and these two have come in since the last customer car was sold...

..the fact that Regina has a Lava manual and a Blue auto in I do mean

Yeah to the Auto Mall on the south end.

Which is how I ended up with a BRZ, Basically hit both Subaru and Scion dealers, put down deposits and said first one that gets me a car is where I buy!
Wasn't willing to piss away my summer waiting for a car that may or may not show up only to be parked in my garage for the winter

SkAsphalt 08-08-2012 12:42 PM

That is exactly what will happen to me now I bet :/ When I went to subaru they said the BRZ was sold, and it was 3-4 months for one. I was really confused. Then they called me 2 days later, said the sale fell through and I could have it - but they had a 1500 mark up and I couldn't get the 1000 off Scion has for grads, plus the initial price difference...all told would be like 3500+ difference before tax.

I am sad I don't have my car, plus that blue subaru was so, so sexy:sigh:

Yeah the grad incentive is definitely attractive when going with Scion, but useless if they can't get you a car.
I managed to deflect the 1500 premium, so I guess I was very lucky all around, not too mention getting my car 2 days after innitial inquirey

If you can't wait, the BRZ is definitely worth the price difference in my opinion concidering all the extras over what the FR-S has to offer. But both are great cars and you'll be happy with either or, assuming you can find one ;)

Jlturner 08-09-2012 11:35 AM

I happened to be at the Auto Mall yesterday and saw this. Looks like they are just starting to break ground on the new building. There is a Scion logo on the sign as well, so I guess they will become a dealer! :)

Hey guys,

The red one in the back is a sold order from June 18th that finally showed up. SkAsphalt yours will be the next one we get in.

We do still have the Hot Lava Manual available, along with the Ultramarine Auto (both with the upgraded deck) if there is anyone interested in picking one up!!!

Janson

Taylor Scion seems like a bunch of cool dudes. I wouldn't mind driving 2 hours from S'toon to buy an FR-S in the future.

yormaX 08-14-2012 01:57 AM

So, I was lurking on Taylor Scion's Facebook.

"Taylor Scion is a new addition to the Taylor Automotive Group. We are the only Scion dealer in Saskatchewan. At Taylor Scion, we carry 5 distinct models, with 125 customizable options to create your Scion the way you desire. Check us out at 655 Broad St. or visit http://www.taylorscion.ca/" (FIXED)

Janson at Taylor Scion in Regina has been awesome to deal with. Definitely drive down for your FRS, you won't be disappointed.
