Dual trunk lights

The trunk light uses 1/4" spade terminals, and the right side of the car has a matching trunk light locating feature minus the locking tabs, so a wiring extension and double sided tape(or glue) is all that is needed for an extra trunk light. Also the trunk light is shared with the Impreza and WRX, so they are plentiful and cheap on eBay.

Trunk light part no: 84611GA000

Enjoy some extra lighting for under $15!

(add some electrical tape, zip ties, and adhesive zip tie mounts and it almost looks OEM)

Just a second place to install a bulb socket, and the electrical connections are really easy.

Looks great. I got fed up with my small 1 bulb LED so I wired up a long LED strip and stuck it to the top of the trunk. So much better light output.

I did this as well.

Went to a local Toyota. Their Lamp assy part is SU003-02521 , which includes bulb.
Cost 15.26 Canadian dollaru.

I got a lamp and housing from a wrecked FRS.

I wired it up easy enough, but wasn't satisfied with the mounting. The hole directly on the other side of the original trunk housing is too big and isn't keyed for the retaining tab. I tried sticky tape, but it just didn't work all that well for me. I got tired of it always falling off after a little while.

I found an alternate location nearby that the retaining tabs can fit and lock into (as the hole is a little oblong). I may revisit in the future and see if I can't get a 3D printed adapter for the other matching hole.
