Just got beat out by an NSX and an M3? Not bad! |
Not sure I understand the hostility. its funny that 59's are scoffed at now days. It is lost on most people how fast that really is at Buttonwillow. I know their car wasn't working well as a completed system, but a 59 is still about 13 seconds a lap faster than a stock car. Sure there is a ton of potential in set up, but this is a great demonstration of the fact that a fast car is not just made up of fast parts. They have to work together in harmony for the driver to do their job. I'm sure they will go faster. For now, they have set the bar for the fastest FR-S there. I'm about 4 seconds behind. Looking to fix that soon. :)
Best, Matt |
Crawford ran a 1:59 yesterday i think, full interior but way more power than the Evasive car.
i like that guy trying to call you guys out on your times when it was the first time the car has been on track.
youd expect a bunch of excitement about someone running an fr-s in time attack events... but on this forum it seems like everyone complains or down talks no matter what. |
crawford ran their times yesterday on C91s and a built motor that was looking hurt. They were about 5 seconds faster than my stock drivetrain car on RS3 street tires...

.....1:59 unlimited RWD?
For people who follow time attack, especially at buttonwillow, that time is fucking amazing. Especially for a car with very little R&D, considerably less power than its competitors assuming your still running the 225.5whp and 182lb-ft, and very little seat time for your driver on that car and setup. Iv ran buttonwillow before, and I got to say... Evasive you fucking have blown my mind. Reminds me of visiting Japan one time and attended a time attack session at Tskuba, only to witness a s15 with less than 400hp on street tires compete with cars with more power, more traction, R-compounds. Only to take home the fastest lap of the day. But that s15 had years of R&D put into it. The Zx6 is proving to be an amazing platform for people who want to be serious in motorsports, even if its out of the box performance is nothing to gripe about. |
Awesome first track runs. Kick ass Evasive!!
The car is so gorgeous. Congrats!
Well done good time :)
congrats, all show and go here, this is the REAL DEAL!
Wow...there are people with rather hostel tones to their comments in this thread. It's their 1st time out....gesh..tough crowd.
Yeahhhhh buddy! I see a bright future for this car. Congratulations guys!
I hope my comment about Crawford wasn't taken negatively, i was just comparing the two since the times were so similar and was more of a kudos to Evasive to getting the same time with a lot less power.
Awesome times from a new car!
Everyone else, a new chassi takes time to develop. The S2000s and NSXs have 10+ years of experience and experiments to learn from. |
Car looks good guys, definitely stood out at SEMA.
:eyebulge:That time is insane, especially with 3 months R&D. You guys at Evasive are off to an incredible start, can't wait for the video. Congratulations again
Thanks everyone for the love and support guys. We will keep you guys posted on updates and new additions to the car. :w00t:

Good run Evasive. How did you feel about the 1:59. Did you feel there is a lot left on the table. Did you feel you needed more power, more brake or more traction?
I know I've shown up on race weekends, gone out for qualifying and set a damn fine lap, the kind of lap where other folks are saying, "you're gonna be pole with that lap" only to discover that my competitor in a damn near identical car went 1.5 seconds faster and I'm spending the rest of the day scratching my head, watching video and researching data thinking, "Where the hell can I find another 1.5 seconds!?" So being in that position I gotta ask, where are you going to find 19 more seconds? Theoretically, what radical changes are needed to the car if a 1:40 were to be your target? |
