86DRIVE's End Of Summer Meet 2014: Sat. October 18

Fellow DRIVERS, please mark your calendars for our 2nd annual End Of Summer meet. Stay tuned for further announcements I hope to have some more exciting news about sponsors, raffles, and other cool stuff for you.

For those of you who have been earning 86DRIVE STARS all summer long, this event's for you. :)

Please note, a pretty substantial drive is required to get out to this meet location (though there are multiple routes you can take). We are a driving club, after all. If your car is not up to the task, please consider being safe and taking another car that is.

RAFFLE FOR 86DRIVE MEMBERS:
If you've come out to our drives this summer you've been collecting STARS from me. 86DRIVE members earn 1 STAR for each group drive they've completed safely. Also, if you've done a track day or autocross this summer (between June and September) you'll also be awarded a STAR. Contact me with proof of each event if you didn't get your STAR punches on your 86DRIVE card. Each of these STARS you've earned will be converted into a raffle ticket. So the more DRIVING you've done, the more chances you have to win! We'd love to see everyone at the meet, but I know not everyone will be able to attend, so if you have earned STARS and want to still be eligible to win prizes, we will have a way for you to still enter -- just post up a photo of your 86DRIVE card with your name and your STARS on it and we will make sure your entries will be included in the drawing.
Didn't earn any STARS this summer? If you make it out to this meet before the raffle starts at 1pm, you'll earn one STAR/raffle ticket just for showing up.

RAFFLE PRIZES:
We will be giving away up to 3 sets of Mann Engineering Lowering Springs (either 25mm or 35mm) for the BRZ/FR-S, generously donated by our friends Gary and Michelle of Mann Engineering! These have a Retail Value of $259.00 each!

From FT-86SpeedFactory, we have an assortment of prizes to give away... Mtec shift springs, a Beatrush drift button, Raceseng Cam plate, a Supertek shorty antenna, and some cool t-shirts!

Northern California Racing Club (NCRC), the event organizer for the NorCal 86CUP series, has donated one free track day to give away.

HRI Tuning has donated one free Ecutek custom tune package to give away! (separate Ecutek license & cable required) *

EQ Tuning has donated an Amsoil oil change! Thank you Neal & Ed!

We'll also have some 86DRIVE schwag to raffle off ... mugs, hats, t-shirts.

More raffle prize announcements to come.

Vendors and local shops, if you are interested in participating and/or donating a raffle prize for our event please contact me (Plato), or Jessie @MyRx or Jonah @finch1750

:thanks:

FOOD OFFERINGS:

The Junction will be serving up some of its delicious BBQ offerings for our group. Our BBQ menu will include:

Ribs
Pulled Pork
Chicken quarters
Baked Beans
Potato Salad
Coleslaw
Soda/Water
Cookie

The standard BBQ plate will be roughly $13/person. Please bring enough cash for you and your guests, to keep the line moving smoothly. If you are in the mood for something else you can go inside and order off their full menu (they have great burgers and sandwiches), and we will have special pricing available for our group on those items as well. If you have any special dietary needs (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free etc.) please contact me at PMok@86drive.com so we can try to accommodate your needs.

PARKING:

There should be adequate parking for our group if we use all the space provided to us. But we should take care not to block the main driveways into the Junction property. Here is a map to help provide some guidance as to where you should and shouldn’t park. There will be overflow parking in the flatter grass-covered area but if you arrive early enough you should be able to park in the paved areas that are marked in green.

Oooo, nice location! Penciled on my calendar. It's a good enough heads up that I might actually be able to make arrangements and come to this :happyanim: Would it be possible to earn a sticker on the drive TO the junction?
