Stage 2 no drone exhaust options?
 

Hi guys, new to the forum. Time to modify my stock 15 frs 6mt. I want to have 200whp but I don't want the exhaust drone. Any possible header and exhaust combinations? :thanks:

Hey there. Welcome. Catless headers and E85 will get you 200 whp. Catback has minimal or no effect on power output.

What he said. Catless header, e85, tune. Either leave the rest of your exhaust stock or use a cat back with a "suitcase" muffler

By "suitcase" muffler, you mean like the hks legamax premium?

Correct. I had full catless with the HKSmidoipe and the Legamax premium. I looked the way it sounded but it wasn't deep or throaty. Kinda sounded like a Z honestly.

That's kinda like the setup I wanna get. Any significant drone you noticed on your setup.

No drone whatsoever. I switched to that from a GReddy Evolution GT 3" with "tuner" style mufflers... Holy shit that droned like a bastard at cruising speed. Sounds great the rest of the time though.

I ran UEL headers, overpipe and resonated front pipe. Then just a stock catback. I actually really like the sound, I absolutely HATE drone. It clearly wasnt stock with a nice growl/rumble, specially when you got on it, but was almost stock sounding while cruising.

Keeping the stock FP helps a lot.

Or get a resonated front pipe

I hate drone as well, especially I daily drive it. I think my plan will be put the uel on first, tune, then drive some days, if everything works without a drone, then add the aftermarket exhaust.

Yep, I think I will keep it stock. The goal is to add power and make it sounds good, but not loud.
