BRZ pricing disappointment thread

The (sub-)forum seems quiet today. I'm guessing everyone is preparing for possible price disclosures tomorrow. Looking at the pricing lottery thread I'm sure there will be people of various degrees of disappointment about the pricing. So I'll get this going early

I'll start: No way I'm paying that much!!!

It is quiet... too quiet...

I dont think we're gonna see pricing for a few weeks..

subatoy 02-29-2012 01:20 PM

who said price would me disclosed tomorrow?
I thought they said MAY not March?

Wonder why Subaru would have a set date for you to order but don't provide you with pricing. I mean if I order a Limited without knowing the price then found out I could only afford a Premium what are they going to do with my order?

I hope someone slips up and gives us price tomorrow.

dsgerbc 02-29-2012 01:24 PM

My dealer seems confident that she'll see the price after the order is submitted.

ugh... i just hope this isn't just hype. i can't spend the next couple of months obsessing over a car and then realize its too expensive to own. if i am going to spend more than $30k, don't know if its on a BRZ... just saying. a used Cayman S is a little more...

I'd do the same but maintenance would be bitch for me.

I think I've been looking forward to the idea of a light, quick, RWD coupe for years. I wake my ass up everyday and go to work for a reason. So long as the price isn't laughably expensive, I'm not going to get my panties in a bunch if it's a bit more or less than I anticipate. Bottom line, I won't be thinking about the price when I'm tearing up some random mountain road or even taking the long way home. Just drive, baby...

I don't think pricing will come out until July. Everyone who gets a car in May and June will just drive them until the dealer calls to let them know how much they owe for the car. ;)

Btw - dooes each dealer know their allotment for the year when they order tomorrow?

MannyO 02-29-2012 01:44 PM

:happy0180: Here's hoping that we're all pleasantly surprised tomorrow morning or whenever the price is released! :happy0180:
