Where are the 2018's ???

I know it is still 2017. However, every other car company is either talking about or released specifications for their 2018 models.

Even Mini which sells only the year that exists models in the year that exists (no annoying 2017's in 2016 marketing gimics normally), they have put out some information on the changing models.

I have not even received my 2017 I ordered on January 2, 2017, but... Isnt it odd no info? I was looking at forums from every year at this time and they all had the next year's information by now.

The 2017 model has just hit the UK showrooms, if they started to leak 2018/19 models the current 20170 will bomb. I would hold off but only if the new 2018 model was to have circa 300bhp (nothing wrong with dreaming).

I heard that the new 2018 weighs 80lbs. less, has the 300bhp you mentioned, and 290 torque. I also heard that center of gravity dropped 1 inch and interior cabin is now near silent. One reviewer noted, "Having driven the full line of Jaguar since the 1960's, I can safely say that the interior noise and comfort bests or equals anything in their line."

Did you not see the 2018 at the auto show? Literally the only difference is cosmetics.
List:
Refined suspension
STi interior and badges
That's about it.

What are you talking about?

Who cares?

One of two things will happen. the MY18's will be exactly the same as the 17's (13-16 being the trend setter) or, they're not going to be making them anymore.

The Japan auto show showed an STi model for 2018...

Like they have been since the car's inception? Neato!

I could see minor improvements for the MY18. Apparently the headlights on the new models are not the greatest. Maybe an upgraded stereo. Nothing huge.

Yeah, so it'll be like adding kneepads in '14 (or was it '15?), new head unit for '14, auto headlights in '15, sharkfin in '15, new paint options in '15 and '16, etc.

If there will not be a 2018, i will cancel my 2017 order. End of line products that are not classic cars have 0 value once it is announced.

It just depends. The Pontiac G8 GXP has awesome resale value. If 2017 truly was the last year (which it's not) I could see a pristine BRZ with PP being desirable in the future since it was only available for one year.
