Perrin Resonated 2.5" + Tomei UEL + OFT 93 flash = Muy Bueno

Car: 2013 BRZ 6 speed MT with high flow panel filter, Tomei UEL catless header, Perrin 2.5" cat-back, and running 93 OFT stage 2.

Just swapped the Invidia N1 out with a Perrin 2.5" resonated exhaust system yesterday and the sound outside and definitely inside the cabin is way better. Power delivery feels the same, but for those looking for a good match of headers and exhaust, I can vouch for this set-up, especially after enduring the N1 drone for the past couple years. The N1 was nice and aggressive but in the end was too loud and the low-end drone was too much for my taste.

After four years of ownership, I love this car more and more. It's not my daily driver but when I do take it out it always puts a smile on my face and with a quieter cabin and more pleasant engine note, the car is about as perfect as it can be next to the 911 I could never afford.

+1, a friend of mine has the exact same exhaust setup. Not obnoxious, just the right amount of volume and presence with that unique Subaru rumble.

This is what I needed to hear. I'll be swapping my N1 with the 2.5 on Monday and I can't wait to be rid of that god awful drone. JDL header going on too

Sound clips?

Can you describe the volume on highway at 65-70mph? Curious to know if there is ANY droning at all? And if no droning, if you can really hear the exhaust at those speed on level ground?

I love my current setup (quieter than an N1) but 65-70mph leaves me with an exhaust note that, while not necessarily loud, is annoying as hell after about 30 seconds.

Absolutely "zero" drone and cabin noise on the freeway is negligible under 3.5k. It's a very nice note above 4k.

I have the exact same setup, can confirm zero drone.

Sounds menacing outside, but in the cabin it's tame. Rolling down the windows gives the driver a little more satisfaction than windows up. I personally think this is the perfect setup for a daily driver, or someone who travels above 70mph on a daily basis.

Thanks guys!

I may be pursuing this setup then... Is there any way one of you could take a video (when you have free time) of some interior driving with windows up? I'd like to get an idea of how much quieter it may become over my current setup (don't want to end up with something too quiet in comparison to what I have now).

Appreciate the feedback!

On a side note, @ripper , what brake kit do you have going on behind those wheels? :)

Stoptech.

This is the exact same setup I'm going for. Glad to hear you're enjoying this setup and I'm sure I will too in the future.

Any sound clips? I'm thinking JDL but if the Tomei isn't too loud I'd consider this set up.

Tomei and JDL UEL catless headers will be the same loudness. They are both just open pipes coming off the engine.

On 1-95 where I live the pavement is so shitty I could run a straight pipe and still hear only road noise. That car looks clean btw.
