Vorshlag LSX kit

Awesome look underneath my car during the fabrication of long tube headers for my LS conversion by the folks at Vorshlag, their attention to detail is unsurpassed. These very same headers will be offered in their swap kit. You can also see their powder coated gloss black tremec trans. mount. A thing of beauty. The engine you see minus its internal guts is their mock up engine, lighter and easier to get in and out.

^ I recently came across a 20b Cosmo rotary and considered it for a swap. Initially was going to purchase another FD chassis. Who knows what I'm gonna do with it lol.

OP what motor are you gonna end up with? Also, are they going to be reproducing the swap parts and if so what would the price on something like this be?

Up in Plano, eh?

When's the estimated completion date? May have to make a trip to see this in person :)

I've actually been following their build on your car which is awesome and I have a question I've felt was never really touched upon was the ECM. What are they going to do about the electronics and making it run? As far as I am aware the speedo, fuel gauge, temp gauge and such work without the requirements of the FA20 engine running. However things like the tach and such require the engine to be running since the sensor is integrated, now this is all from my understanding and yes it is very limited so please excuse any errors.

I like this build a lot because you get all the benefits of an LS into the twins and I would like to take advantage of some of the LS features in the newer engines down the road like how it only runs on 4/8 cylinders for economy, Direct Injection and such.

I guess my question is do they have two ECMs in the car then? One is the Chevy ECM to run the LS motor and pair it with the FA20 ECM to run everything else in the car that it is reliant on? Also I'd understand if you cant disclose any of this information but I am genuinely curious as I would like to take on a project like this in the future hence the question.

I follow the smugmug pic blog regularly. It's exciting. Just saw those header updates today. Looks super high quality! :D

Those collectors are CANNONS...Two of them too! ;)

Dat clearance between the bellhousing, collector, and underbody. Free with purchase: driver and passenger side footwell warmers!

No really though, that T56 is a tight fit!

A solution has already been figured out where as the GM engine is fully integrated using the stock ECU and all factory gauges / power steering / air-conditioning (a must in Texas) etc. are fully functional.....so yes all gauges work using the Toyota ECU.
