tree sap
Checking to see if anyone out there knows a quick / efficient way to get tree sap off of a painted surface? It's been on car 4-5 days now
I read some things on google/ questions, but figured I'd check here. Thanks in advance |
User your fingers to pick out as much as possible, then use Goo-Gone, then for any tiny remaining bits use an abrasive like Scratch X and put in some force to rub it off.

WD-40

Hot water won't melt it?
|
I have used rubbing alcohol with good success. Just put some on a rag then hold the rag down on the sap for a bit.

I hear the turtle wax bug and tar remover works pretty good too. Just whatever you use, be patient, melt it away slowly.

Bubba is bad to the bone, hardcore military!!
Thanks for the tips, I'll get at it tomorrow when I rewash the pickup... and get her good!! |
i've come to hate sap, i need to wash my car nearly daily. totally insane.

let some tar/sap/bug remover sit on there and then go at it. if that doesn't work move up to clay bar.
