Sounds positive! Still a waiting game though. I need to drive the car myself before I will believe that it wouldn't be even more fun than it already is with another 70 hp. At least it does refute other the statements made by others on here that a turbo wouldn't be possible due to the engine location being low and farther back. Sounds like there will be plenty of room.....

Liked the article, disliked the $26000 price estimate...price needs to be released so I can finally have a sound mind.

So it's $26,000 now? And the Subaru understeers? Hopefully they are way off about both of those things. "Understeers at the limit" is usually journalist speak for "I don't know how to drive properly"

My favorite comment:

Above 5000 rpm, it’s loud enough that you have to scream to converse

I like the SOUND of that.

FRS at $26k is dead on arrival. Scion better hope it isn't $26k. A thousand teenagers hopes were just crushed on the forum.

Hmm I wonder how the Subaru is, in a more grip driving setting. We know Toyota tuned the 86 that way to appease the Drift Enthusiast. I know for safety reasons the under steer is desirable. But in a grip situation like for a time attack or even auto X you don't want too much over steer either. Wonder what's the reasoning behind the understeer, but at the same time...not every review is the same. Others reviews doesn't say understeer more like not as twichy and unpredicatable like an old S2000. I would say the FRS is like an AP1 and The BRZ and AP2(without the power ofcourse) but it's a matter of taste, some people like the AP1 other liked AP2. Myself I went AP2 over AP1 so... ya.

Btw that MPG number it's about the same as a Z

Another great review!

Man, I want to get in this thing!

And in regards to the $26k number, that's how much the RA model is in Japan, so I think they were just going off of that.

It will be $26k for the BRZ limited

These things are going to be priced right...just be patient...

Or I'll bemoan the lack of push-start! Muwahahha... fear thy whining... lol.

But yeah, I do hope that your prediction comes through.

Thanks for the article Zgrinch! :w00t:

the scion interior looks alot better than what ive been seeing recently.. and that mpg sucks. should be higher.

What if the most expensive trim is $26K? Ever thought of that?

tachi1247 02-15-2012 10:42 PM

Be curious to see what this car could do with a good set of summer only tires like PS2s. Tires are one of the most influencial factors for skidpad numbers and braking performance. Things could be even better than we hoped for.
