Subaru has announced on its website that the BRZ will represent the company at next year's Super GT Championship in Japan by racing in the GT300 Class. That means it will probably replace the STI Legacy B4 currently racing in that class for Subaru.

Not a surprise, but very cool. I fully expect toyota to take advantage of finally having a sports car in its stable.

It will hopefully be showing up in many professional series here soon, alms, grand am, etc...

This can't be a bad thing. Racing improves the breed.

Super taiku would serve it better, Super GT cars are very unrelated to their street going counterparts these days.

Yeah gt300 is a lot closer to reality than that gt500 class gtr. But I agree that super taikyu would be even better for technology trickle down.

GT300 isn't as extravagant, but this is the Toyota that runs in GT300

That's supposed to be a Coroola Axio GT... right. Pretty sure even the IS350 is mid-engined.

@4AGZE, of course I remember :) BTCC regs have recently got kinda weird with respect to their config and such.... lets see what happens. :)

Another outline.. any more info there?
