Want to try a gauge cluster experiment with me?

I would like to see if a FR-S gauge cluster works in my BRZ. Also wondering if the mileage will stay correct after the swap or if it's in the gauge cluster. Anyone know the answer or willing to try this. It's an easy thing to do, only needing to remove 5 screws and pulling panels off.

The reasoning... If I can't sell my red Cyberstork gauge cluster overlays I'll need a non-US FR-S gauge cluster for the overlays to overlay properly.

The mileage is stored in the guage cluster, so if you swap it, it will display the mileage of the source car, and not the car it is installed after the swap.
So it has to stay with the car. However, you can remove the cluster backgrounds if you are careful, and fit the Toyota one to a Scion one.
Subaru BRZ has some indicators in the wrong place so that won't work too well...but is replaceable too with km/h indication from Japanese BRZ plates..

So what you can do is to get a Toyota 86 cluster from Japan and swap the background... Techically it is legal too since the USA models all have digital speedometer in the window that display MPH for USA still.
