Don't beat yourself up over it man, tickets happen to everyone. You've got the right idea though, slow down a bit, maybe try to leave the house a little earlier. My girl would tell me to take my own advice lol.

City or county cops? Lol either way I've been pulled over 2 times in my frs, once by 4 cops for driving crazy in a residential area. And once in the drive thru of McDonalds lol

You might actually benefit from a radar lol.. also in my experience (at least in socal) its pretty easy to find places that will fight tickets for you and are pretty effective, may want to look into those.

Hit the track and get it out of your system.

Don't worry, I lost my license a few months after I got it back when I was in high school. Tickets are a part of life for car enthusiasts

I get that. I don't condone speeding or reckless driving as I understand it's irresponsible and dangerous to yourself and others. What I meant was that many (young) enthusiasts are excited to go out and push their limits. They just want to get it out of their systems. I know I did when I first got my license.

i never got pulled over ever since i started driving 8 years ago... got a new flashy faster car, two weeks later got pulled over for speeding. 43 in a 30 zone... he let me go tho:burnrubber:

its fun to push the car, but its not worth it

Paying $218/mo on loaded insurance on the three cars I own. I don't want to relive the days when I was under 25 years old with multiple traffic violations. Don't know how you guys do it.

Just pick an avg mpg rating to shoot for, then drive to keep yourself around that. Have fun every once in awhile passing, etc. Then it's more than just going slow which you'll resent, you'll be doing it on purpose and saving money! :)

i did too brother, we all did.

on topic: i haven been secretly prayed for an apocalypse just so I can do 160 mph in my FRS while the highway is on fire and zombies suck my smoke.

Tickets are typical when first getting your license or getting a new flashy car, it happens just learn from it as it will only benefit you in the long run. I would just ask that you take heed when you decide to take the risk of speeding or making sudden lane changes. You may be in control but you never know how people around you will react; you wouldn't want someone's accident on your conscience.

On a side note, @luxmn have you been able to take your whip on the "fastest highway in america" yet? Just saw that your profile says you're in austin, tx.....
