Early May? Sounds good to me. How long does it take for a shipping boat to go from Japan to Portland, OR? Guess the other part for SOA is Baltimore and for SNE it is RI. Maybe a week to Portland and double that to the east coast? Add in 1-2 days at the port and then however long to be put on a train to get shipped to a local depot and placed on a truck? I'm guessing here in the midwest, probably see one closer to end of May.

I'm crossing my fingers that I'll have mine in time to go to Carlisle PA for the Carlisle Performance and Sound show/meet (May 12-13). I'm a long time member of NICOclub and we always have a blast there.

I'm first in line at my dealership (in Ohio) and they are slotted for 9 for the year.. so in theory they might get one of the first run, and it could very well come in sometime in that second week of May.

It would be nice to have the BRZ before June since HIN (Hot Import Nights) is coming back to the Philly area...would be really wrong to just enter it stock, lol... but how many BRZs are gonna be there?

And think of it economically... price for HIN ticket to get in is $20/person after discount ($5 off coupons everywhere usually) but you can't come and go as you please. To actually enter car is $40 with wrist band for 2 people... come and go as you please to get food or whatever... hmm...

But just being able to drive the car there would be amazing...

Def for those wanting more goodies and not much price dif, I bet- I can see many going to BRZ over FR-S. Nav is always handy and easier then using a any cel App.

If I don't get good trade value on my STi with First 86 deal, I can always go BRZ as it would be a Subaru dealer who would more likely pay more $$$ for STi than Toyota/Scion dealer I bet. So def some options, I would be happy with either really. :w00t:

I ordered mine with nav delete...and airbag delete :iono:

We are discussing USDM.

If they plan to start selling as early as late April or early may...
we would need to know prices within the next 2 weeks or so..
considering the first batch of USDM cars should be rolling off
and onto boats within the next week or so for their journey overseas.

April 20th is the ship date. Confirmed as of what my contacts know right now.

Guess we will have an update after the 20th as to how many got initially shipped to our dealer, or do they know that now?

New York Autoshow seems big for Subaru. We will finally get the BRZ prices? and they are releasing the Crosstrek, too.

I think that's that's the most we''ll have to wait for the price. It'll be revealed during the NY Auto show or sooner.

So should I put my car up for sale now? 4/20 is only a few weeks away lol.

Your contacts = salesman? Good to know. Probably see them mid May. Probably first on west coast and upper east coast. Just like what happened with the new Impreza.

Today, I met Alvin (salesman) at Sierra Subaru in Monrovia, CA who said that they will receive BRZs between mid-April to late-April. He didn't know how many they'd be getting in first batch though. But they will be getting 15 for the year.

SoA rep and a sales manager. I don't talk to normal sales guys.

wow if the Brz is under 26k for standard HID's and NAV gonna pull the deposit off the FRS.... Please give a price soon :happyanim:

May 15th is still what my friend is telling me from my BRZ arrival (dealership owners son)... It would be a perfect timeline to start shipping from 4/20 :respekt:

Take this for what it's worth:

Got an email from my salesman today. He said he talked to his Suby regional rep and was told that pricing would be coming "soon". I assume within a week or so..

He said my ETA for deliver is May.. not sure if that is early or late in the month.

So nothing concrete by any means, but it's nice to get some feedback from the dealership with some basic info.

I don't think that's too quick to expect shipping, roughly 2 weeks on the boat and I'm assuming they will be using several ports, of which TX is only a few hours from me.

From my understanding, SOA only uses two ports; Portland, OR and Baltimore, MD. SNE uses the port in RI. So I don't think you will see SOA using TX as a port. Most likely either Portland or Baltimore is used, and then sent by train/ground transport.
