Last I read on the homepage, the Ft-86 G's sport concept was at the Toyota Amlux display building in Tokyo. These pics are from the Toyota Mega Web showroom in Odaiba, an artificial island in Tokyo Bay. So it looks like the car has been moved. Next they need to move it to the US so I can see :D

I love it! I can do without the spoiler tho.

I love the scoops on the rear fenders. Reminds me of a mr2

I still don't like the look of this. I think it's the front fascia that bugs me most. Feels like I'm looking at a baby Nissan instead of a Toyota. And then there's that spoiler. :(

can we say that FT86 will have a turbo version since the G's have a visible intercooler

BlackArtsViper 03-29-2010 03:23 PM

Ah man... It looks so great...
I agree about the spoiler though. Very tacky, even if it is made with $2000 or carbon fiber.

And I think those side vents remind me of the FT-HS more than anything. They look pretty good, but unless they do anything: no thanks.

I think my favourite thing about this version is that they took out that notch from the top rear of the front fenders. Also, I like how the bottom of the front bumper is quite a bit more rounded. I'd like it if they toned down the huge "sideburns" the other 86 has, specifically around the faux vents. Looks a tad bloated near the bottom from some angles.

Looks so awesome can't wait to see one in person. Also you can gear GT5 in the background xD

I really like the looks of this car. It's funny, when I was looking at the pictures I thought about how I liked every thing except the spoiler. Then I scrolled down and found every one else felt the same. I, most likely, won't buy this version (or the evolution of it), but I hope the internals of the base model will be as strong as I assume this model's. I hope the aftermarket doesn't focus on the turbo version and just throw crumbs to the base model (like w/ Subarus).

I'm with you on this one. Maybe it's the wheels, the cheap graphics and the little fast n furious wing but it doesn't look that good. Kind of ricey...

LivingLegend 03-29-2010 10:17 PM

The wheels reminds me of the RX-8 stock rims...and it kinda does look like a baby 350z....

Decameron 03-30-2010 01:33 AM

yeah, chalk up another anti-spoiler vote...not that I'd oppose any spoiler, but this one is just offensive

I think lip spoiler( or the one on LFA nurburgring??) will look better than that one on the car right now.
