Full exhaust swap? 2017 86 Toyota

Just recently ordered the whole invidia exhaust for my 2017 Toyota 86, header, over pipe, front pipe, mid pipe and muffler. Once I switch it all out, will a tune be necessary? If so are there any places that will do tunes for this model in Portland Oregon?

Since you are changing out the Header, yes. you should get a tune.

Should tune = yes

Must tune = no

Either way, how do you plan on passing DEQ assuming the car is registered in Multnomah County?

FYI keep the stock stuff. You'll need it some day.

Is the header catted or not?

If you retain the cat, you don't need a tune. If you deleted the header cat then yes, you need a tune.

In portland, your best bet now might be bob at drift office in auburn. Or PRE.

I also want to advocate that you should keep all of your stock hardware. Clean it, and save it. 2 years after going catless, I find myself completely stock again, and I'm so thankful that I kept my stock hardware to make this easy.

My car came with the TRD exhaust installed by the dealer before I even know the car existed. They sent the stock parts with the car when I bought it. I will never ever need to go back to stock but can't even give that damn stock stuff away so might as well hang onto it.
