Interior Illumination Red/Blue Kit.

My BRZ comes with option package 2C. It differs from 2A and 2B by the Interior Illumination Red/Blue Kit. My car as of now looks red inside. So I am wondering what difference these kits would make. If possible, I'd like to make all the lights shine blue. I think it goes better with white cars

Also two body plugs come with the car, but I cannot find a place to plug them into the car. Any suggestions?

Your reply is quick. I found the right reference and put the body plugs in. Thanks a lot. I was not able to find anything on interior illumination kits. That is kind of strange given that they are OEM items.

You can't change the color of the interior illumination kit. There are 2 kits, one is red, one is blue. If the red kit is installed in your car you would have to remove the LED's and replace them with the blue LED's.

Thanks. The things is that my 2C package does not come with either interior illumination red or blue. There is nothing there. The instrument panel is indeed red. I am wondering what would those packages do for my car? Thanks.

The interior illumination kit is only footwell lighting. It doesn't effect any other lights in the car. There are two light modules, one below the glovebox and one below the steering column, that light your feet.

My car came with the blue kit. I kind of hate it, and I would love to either turn it off completely, or swap it to red, but I haven't really looked into it yet.

I see. Thanks. So to match our instrument panel, the red one is the correct choice. Now I understand! Do you know where to get the red ones? Any part number?

Do these ones work with the stock dimmer switch? I have a set from Phastek that are falling apart from all the weathering I've been through and they couldn't be hooked up to allow manual control of dimming like my 2011 WRX did. The price on these has dropped: http://www.subarugenuineparts.com/pr...9b80047b6b330a , so I'm thinking of picking them up.

Yes, they are connected to the stock dimmer switch.

Thanks for this man. This came with my car from the factory and it drive me insane. I've got the blue one and absolutely hate it. I was hoping it wasn't tied into the wiring, but it looks like it's just a harness that goes between the HVAC controls as a "middle man" so to speak.

Looks like this will be coming out soon! It's the ONLY blue thing on the car, lol. Can't have that.
