Tire/Wheel Suggestion for FI- 250~300 whp, 225~250 lbft tq

Insight/opinions on wheel and tire sizing, compound, etc. for a rough scenario of 250~300whp and 225~250 lbft tq forced induction- linear powerband?

Primary Usage: Street
Secondary Usage: Track

So a 'Trackable Street Hybrid'

Edit: Mainly focused on sizing.

For what use? Street? Track?

Find a 200tw tire you like. It'll work out

Yeah ^^^, one of the known-good 200TW tires. Which one depends on how much lap times matter vs. tire life too! I had a better idea when I was driving 500+hp FD RX-7, some tires seem to put power down better than others, but I couldn't tell you which of the current crop is best for this.

What size did you go with?

I haven't gotten to drive on summer tires yet. I had 205/55r16 winter tires that held 3rd gear and up perfectly fine. 2nd gear held if I rolled into it slowly.

I am on Nitto NT05R right now- they haven't been driven on so I can't say how they'll hold. If my winter tires held 330whp in 3rd gear, 200tw on hot pavement should hold 2nd no question unless you have insane torque down low

Any good 17x9 semi light weight Flow Formed wheel. Lots of good options. Look at the 660's from Falken

You might want to check out the Cosmis Racing XT-005R rims on 4wheelonline. It's lightweight and makes use of the Flow Form technology.

I am on arc-8 wheels wrapped with Michelin PS4 AS in 245-40/17. I’m using an Edelbrock SC at 246WHP and 220TQ. I haven’t had a slip once and they roll nicely. It was far too much rubber when I was NA
