Tire/Wheel Suggestion for FI- 250~300 whp, 225~250 lbft tq
Insight/opinions on wheel and tire sizing, compound, etc. for a rough scenario of 250~300whp and 225~250 lbft tq forced induction- linear powerband?
Primary Usage: Street Secondary Usage: Track So a 'Trackable Street Hybrid' Edit: Mainly focused on sizing. |
For what use? Street? Track?

Find a 200tw tire you like. It'll work out

Yeah ^^^, one of the known-good 200TW tires. Which one depends on how much lap times matter vs. tire life too! I had a better idea when I was driving 500+hp FD RX-7, some tires seem to put power down better than others, but I couldn't tell you which of the current crop is best for this.

I am on Nitto NT05R right now- they haven't been driven on so I can't say how they'll hold. If my winter tires held 330whp in 3rd gear, 200tw on hot pavement should hold 2nd no question unless you have insane torque down low |
Any good 17x9 semi light weight Flow Formed wheel. Lots of good options. Look at the 660's from Falken

I am on arc-8 wheels wrapped with Michelin PS4 AS in 245-40/17. I’m using an Edelbrock SC at 246WHP and 220TQ. I haven’t had a slip once and they roll nicely. It was far too much rubber when I was NA
