OFT Openflash V4 tunes released for 2017+ with Launch/FFS

WARNING : USE THE V4 DEFINITIONS THAT COME IN V4 TUNE PACK, DO NOT USE OLD DEFINITIONS, CLEAR THEM OUT OF ROMRAIDER. note this only applies if your editing tunes you can ignore this if your just flashing the tunes directly

If you need to alter some tables not correctly defined the the OFT V4 2012-2016 tune see the attached definitions

Ignition timing idle in gear/neutral

or fix P0420 code not defined

maf after start tables

and a few others

You will need to open def in text editor for auto or manual as required and edit the calid string to your particular rom id like B01C or B01D as all V4 tunes are based on A01G or A01I roms now for 2012-2016 cars

DO NOT use these DEFS for 2017+ cars they are based on different rom base

New v4.01 Beta tunes now available for all USDM GT86s (including 2017+ which now have Launch Control/Flat-Foot-Shift). These tunes have all sorts of update include cold start delete, remapped throttle tables, revised engine load limits, fully supported data logging channels and a default advance multiplier of 0.70 instead of the usual 1.0. This allows for learning ability based upon octane. Make sure you use a PREMIUM grade fuel because these tunes are aggressive and run strong!
New OpenFlash Manager (v1.31) is also available for download as well https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/e...5/16/1f642.png"

Petrol tunes suit both 91/93 but best performance on 93
stage 1 stock header
Stage 2 aftermarket catted header
Stage 2 + aftermarket catless header

E85 for E85 fuel only
Stage 2 + E85 for stock/catted or catless header

So the v3 beta tunes never went to official release and now we have v4 beta? What is the difference between the two?

they are likely using updated defs

As always make sure you use definitons from the V4 tune pack to edit these V4 roms. They are based on Euro roms , not usa

the V4 tunes are also based on euro base roms

@steve99

What do you think of the V4 tunes compare to the ones you and @Wayno optimized?

Teseo 03-19-2018 09:18 AM

Early models would see benefits of new tunes?

stlgrym3 03-19-2018 10:14 AM

Does the v4 tunes come with the new version 2 tablets? Or we have to download it separately?

guybo 03-19-2018 10:53 AM

Is the E85 tune good to go? I had read that the early versions had some issues.

guybo 03-19-2018 11:08 AM

I updated OFM and using the latest template file, I edited the E85 2+ tune for idle RPM, FFS and LC. I got a slightly different but familiar checksum error in ROM Raider. Just like in the past, I hit OK and saved the tune and no probs.

Is that normal?

Firecruiser 03-19-2018 12:43 PM

@steve99 An AT v4 tune is based on an ZA1J___I calid correct? I was previously using overrun to create an afterfire in the v2 tune. I see that it is defined in the defs included with the v4 tune but is marked as debug. Do you think it is safe to modify these debug tables? Or should i try to find a wayno def for the calid v4 is based off.

Other question, romraider has a way to diff two roms and see the changes in the tables, but I've only been able to do it if they use the same definition. Is there an easy way to do this when they don't use the same definition. Since I'm using a B01D definition and these are using A01I definitions.

I hope i'm making sense.

smg1138 03-19-2018 01:13 PM

So, these are ok to use on my 2013 FRS? That's the way I'm reading it, but just want to be sure. I figured the 2017+ tunes would be totally different. I always run the B01C files on my car.
