MAPerformance 68mm throttle body

Hey everyone! Thought I would share another project we are experimenting with. We are about to do some testing on our 68mm throttle body. These are still OEM pieces that we have bored out. We know the stock throttle body size is pretty large for a 2.0L N/A 4 cylinder, but we also figured why not give it a shot, especially since there aren't too many affordable options yet. We will be putting this on our fabricators stock auto FRS to see what, if any power gains are to be had. We will also be doing back to back testing on my turbo FRS once we complete that as well. I will keep you posted as we find out more results.

Interested to see if there would be any gains produced and what pricing would be.

Ditto. Pricing is planned to be around $250.

Nice, are you able to pull all the electronics out of the aluminum before doing the machining?

Yes, we would disassemble it before machining, and then we would put all of the electronics back on before shipping out.

What angle are you cutting the new throttle plates at?

Very good question sir. I do not know that as of now, but I will find out on Monday for you.

Now would something like this paired with the 3" Perrin CAI yield increased results as N/A or would it be slight? I can see FI benefiting from this heavily.

In for results.

Curious to see the results. If you need a Innovate tester, i'm all ears. I'm sure you will be able to collect a ton of information thought just based off NA and your turbo setup.

Interesting

I guess I am not sure what to expect to be honest, but I am very curious and very excited:thumbsup: I really don't know if it will do anything N/A. I mean, Our Evo customers are paying to get their throttle bodies bored out to our stock size of 65mm. And they are making upwards of 600awhp with them. But you never know. I am interested to seeing a benefit with boost too. Wondering if our intake manifold will hold us back...
