I want a better armrest cup holder since day 1, with more storage compartment for cards, coins, tissue etc, and with a cover, for safety while intense driving. There's no such a thing online.

I am pretty sure I had seen 3 designs. I could find one of them right now. Is this close to what you had in mind

yes, it's neat, what I want is pretty much like that, but full sized, with a cover, for mind peace, like the OEM one. But the OEM design has no those slots and compartments, makes it not so useful.

Been thinking of some sort of mount/bracket (to put magnets on) for a phone that'll slip between the 2 dash/radio bezels and held in with one of the screws in there.

I'll eventually work on it...

Something with a curved bottom and flat top to go above the center vents or gauges would be cool, so you could put/mount something there...toll transponder, one of those solar tpms monitors, dash cam, whatever. Using suction cup mounts and double sided tape there is pretty meh.

What I would like is a small insert for the driver side/passenger side cup holder for smaller drinks and items. Whenever I put stuff in the driver or passenger side cup holder it rattles around and drives me crazy. A handy insert to stop it from rattling and hold small items like sunglasses/flashlights or more skinny sized drinks would be great.

Its truly is a pain to try to place a small coffee cup in the door cup holder and it would be easy to come up with an insert.


The opening is large enough to have a design that can have an insert for a cup and other things at the same time, although I am not certain that it is possible. its most likely going to have to be one or the other.

That being said you don't want to reinvent the wheel. Have you checked stuff that readily available at amazon and ect? For instance the attached photo is from a mass procured product called "cell cup"...


If you can do a design that works out of CAD and by CAD I mean cardboard :), I am sure we can find someone who actually would do the 3d design for you. I am not promising that it would be me, since I am little too busy at the moment.

Anyways make sure that you search for a off the shelve item first... LMK

Someone needs to 3D print a dash with a standard double din opening.

I realize that's a large item, but if it were pieced together and wrapped in leather it would be awesome.

Is a standard double din larger or smaller than the touchscreen opening that the car comes with?
