THIS THREAD IS FOR OWNER EXPERIENCES AND QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCES WITH THIS KIT.
Thank you @digital_assassin for starting this thread. He no longer owns his 86 so I will periodically update this thread instead Please post once you've ordered and I'll keep it updated with people that have ordered and will ultimately have the kit on the car. I ask that we all post the Dyno results and impressions/experiences. This is not a thread for debate about the pro's and cons of this vs. Vortech, Innovate, AVO, FBM, FA20Club, etc. That thread is found HERE This thread is for owner proven facts about this product only, both good and bad. Kraftwerks Product Page Install Manual https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIR8...pcfo8gVHsOS30Q Replacement Belt if ever needed can be ordered. There are three known versions. 1. Original first revision with the smaller crank pulley and 90mm Rotrex pulley - 20mm width 150 teeth HERE 2. Second revision with ** tooth crank pulley and 95mm Rotrex pulley - 20mm width 160 teeth HERE 2. Third revision with ** tooth crank pulley and 95mm Rotrex pulley - 30mm width 160 teeth HERE Idler Pulley Bearing Replacement Due to the fact that this kit does not have an auto-tensioner, I found that the belt can become too tight depending on the temperature. As I live in an area where the temperature can swing 86 degrees F within hours, I tend to keep my tension a bit on the loose side to prevent premature bearing failure on the idlers and the Rotrex. I have the second revision of belt/pulleys on my kit and they use three 6203 bearings in the idler pulleys. You will need a strong pair of internal snap ring pliers for this job (the reversible style will not be strong enough). Bearings will need to have C3 clearance and be designed to work in hot environments. I have tried both F A G brand and NSK 6203C3 DUU bearings but the hot engine bay temperatures just cooked the grease out of them within weeks. So far, I have been having good success with Nachi 62032NSE bearings. Recommended hose clamp install thread - ask @glamcem why this is necessary :) Known Owners 1. @digital_assassin Ordered 10/3/13 - Received 12/3/13 - Dyno Results 274HP / 227TQ initial tune - updated 279HP / 222TQ on DynoJet with tune by @Drift-Office both on 92 octane 2. @elopez Order #20 3. @grostoine Ordered 10/16/13 - Received 12/11/13 - Tuned by Otto-Moto and dyno'd on Maha 276HP / 246TQ 4. @cobrabyte Ordered 10/17/13 - Received 12/17/13 - SOLD unused kit to @post_break 5. @retrosmiths Ordered 10/21/13 6. @dren Received around 12/12/13? 7. @PRORICAN Ordered 1/14/14 - Received 1/21/14 -Installed 1/26/14 - Dyno Results 266HP / 198TQ on DynoDynamics with Basemap tune by @DeliciousTuning 8. @ExcelerateRep On Hand 1/17/14 - Dyno 3/7/14 245HP / 210TQ on Mustang Dyno and tuned by @Visconti 9. @wrohdejr Ordered 2/4/14 - 286HP / 222TQ on Dynojet and tuned by @Drift-Office 10. @wahsaihin Ordered 2/4/14 11. @sales@delicioustuning.com Purchased 2/7/14 - Installed 2/8/14 - 275 on 91 & ~332 on E85 on Mustang Dyno and tuned by @DeliciousTuning 12. @utekineir - Installed 2/8/14 13. @OmarGC - Installed ?? - Kit for sale as of 4/27/14 - Sold to @Rulin 14. @Ocho Seis - Dyno Results 296HP / 235TQ on DynaPack Dyno with tune by On Point 15. @captain_jack - installed 2/19/14 - 246HP / 196TQ on Mustang Dyno and Tuned by @nelsmar - Selling as of 5/14/14 16. @mit_peid - ordered 2/19/14 17. @glamcem - ordered 4/7/14 - installed 5/7/14 - e-tune by Moto East 18. @post_break - purchased brand new from @cobrabyte - Installed 5/10/14 19. @zoth - Ordered from Moto East on 4/17/14 - Installed 5/11/14 - Dyno on 93 octane 275HP / 220TQ with tune by @moto-mike and Dyno on E85 368HP / 272TQ 20. @Freeman - Ordered on 4/30/14 - Installed 5/12/14 - Kraftwerks Tune 261HP/195TQ - Drift-Office tune to come later 21. @SPCorBUST - Ordered on 5/6/14 - C38 Blower - Installed 5/9/14 - Delicious tune on both E85 & 91 Octane 22. @importdps - Installed 5/12/14 - Tune by Delicious 23. @Kakawate - Installed and tuned by Kraftwerks - Automatic 24. @SterlingBrz - Installed 5/8/14 - Tune by Kraftwerks 25. @Model Citizen - Installed January? - Tune by Delicious 26. @vgi - C38 kit - Installed 5/17/14 - Stated numbers on Mustang dyno 299HP with 93 octane fuel 27. @NCItaly - used kit purchased around 5/18/14 28. @TmP - Installed 6/1/14 29. @madpcsupreme - Installed 5/19/14 30. @Taino-BRZ - installed 5/30/14 - E85 301HP/226Tq 31. @zERoTu - Ordered 5/21/14 32. @FR-S Matt - Ordered 6/2/14 33. @Squishy - Installed 7/7/14 34. @penguin - Installed 6/10/14 35. @zERoTu - Installed 6/14/14 36. @D-VO - Installed 6/17/14 37. @ST-A - Installed 6/19/14 38. @rickspecd - Installed ???? 39. @noob001 - Installed 6/23/14?? 40. @Jcl - Installed 7/30/14 - KW Tune 41. @j.F.c.R.a.S. - Ordered 7/21/14 42. @nlowell - Installed 8/4/14 - 314HP/242TQ on Mustang Dyno with E85 Fuel 43. @Gixxersixxerman - Installed 9/8 44. @myd_lyf_crysys - Install and tune by @Drift-Office 9/20/14 AUTOMATIC 261HP/205TQ on 92 Octane 45. @projek_01 - Installed 10/11/14 46. @JoonPrime - Installed around 10/2/14 - Stated 255HP / 205TQ 47. @Rulin - Purchased kit from OmarGC - Installed 10/12/14 - Tuned by @moto-east 48. @BRZZZZZZZZZZ - Installed around 11/27/14 - Stated 258HP with C38 blower. Here's Kraftwerks Dyno's for a reference point. Both Dyno's were performed on a Rototest HUBDYNO.
C30 Blower This one is Stock BRZ vs Supercharged BRZ (95mm pulley) with stock headers and exhaust running 91 octane fuel. This shows a gain of 81.9HP and 55.1TQ. http://cms.kraftwerksusa.com/photo/g...ab8f96247c.png http://cms.kraftwerksusa.com/photo/g...38c3542548.png This one is Stock BRZ vs. Supercharged BRZ (95mm pulley) with the forthcoming Skunk2 Headers and Exhaust and fueled with E85. Looks like I'm order #26 for this one. Did the homework and really like how this one's shaping-up!
|
Count me in! :D
|
Well put Mike ... my POV was simply to give enthusiasts who may not be in the 'know' a little background info on Bill. Not looking to sit here and argue who was FA20 powered, DPI, which ECU was harder to tune, etc.

Any dyno on stock exhaust, 91 gas and 90mm pulley?

Is the release date have been announce?
Or we are waiting for the 30th person to show? It would be very nice to have at least an update or something ? By the way i'm number 27. |
