THIS THREAD IS FOR OWNER EXPERIENCES AND QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCES WITH THIS KIT.

Thank you @digital_assassin for starting this thread. He no longer owns his 86 so I will periodically update this thread instead

Please post once you've ordered and I'll keep it updated with people that have ordered and will ultimately have the kit on the car. I ask that we all post the Dyno results and impressions/experiences.

This is not a thread for debate about the pro's and cons of this vs. Vortech, Innovate, AVO, FBM, FA20Club, etc. That thread is found HERE This thread is for owner proven facts about this product only, both good and bad.

Replacement Belt if ever needed can be ordered. There are three known versions.
1. Original first revision with the smaller crank pulley and 90mm Rotrex pulley - 20mm width 150 teeth
HERE

2. Second revision with ** tooth crank pulley and 95mm Rotrex pulley - 20mm width 160 teeth
HERE

2. Third revision with ** tooth crank pulley and 95mm Rotrex pulley - 30mm width 160 teeth
HERE

Idler Pulley Bearing Replacement
Due to the fact that this kit does not have an auto-tensioner, I found that the belt can become too tight depending on the temperature. As I live in an area where the temperature can swing 86 degrees F within hours, I tend to keep my tension a bit on the loose side to prevent premature bearing failure on the idlers and the Rotrex.

I have the second revision of belt/pulleys on my kit and they use three 6203 bearings in the idler pulleys. You will need a strong pair of internal snap ring pliers for this job (the reversible style will not be strong enough). Bearings will need to have C3 clearance and be designed to work in hot environments. I have tried both F A G brand and NSK 6203C3 DUU bearings but the hot engine bay temperatures just cooked the grease out of them within weeks. So far, I have been having good success with Nachi 62032NSE bearings.

Recommended hose clamp install thread - ask @glamcem why this is necessary :)

Here's Kraftwerks Dyno's for a reference point. Both Dyno's were performed on a Rototest HUBDYNO.

C30 Blower
This one is Stock BRZ vs Supercharged BRZ (95mm pulley) with stock headers and exhaust running 91 octane fuel. This shows a gain of 81.9HP and 55.1TQ.

This one is Stock BRZ vs. Supercharged BRZ (95mm pulley) with the forthcoming Skunk2 Headers and Exhaust and fueled with E85. I've been told that the headers are going to be part of their Alpha Series line and should be released in January. This shows a gain of 127.1HP and 83.2TQ.

This one is Stock BRZ vs. Supercharged BRZ (90mm pulley) with the forthcoming Skunk2 Headers and Exhaust and fueled with E85. This shows a gain of 180.8HP and 119.4TQ.

C38 Blower
Here are results using a C38 on an Automatic.

This dyno sheet shows 91 octane numbers at 262.7HP and 204.6TQ. This is an increase of 108.3HP and 70.7TQ.

This dyno sheet shows E85 numbers at 341.5HP and 244.5TQ. This is an increase of 187.1HP and 110.6TQ

Engine bay layout. Oil cooler sandwich plate that is shown is a Skunk2 product. The oil cooler is anticipated to be released in time to ship with the Supercharger kit, sold separately though.

Looks like I'm order #26 for this one. Did the homework and really like how this one's shaping-up!

Count me in! :D

Well put Mike ... my POV was simply to give enthusiasts who may not be in the 'know' a little background info on Bill. Not looking to sit here and argue who was FA20 powered, DPI, which ECU was harder to tune, etc.

While I absolutely believe Bill's tuning ability, throwing around those names have little correlation with the tuning of this kit.

Now, a proven track record of FA20 tuning would be a great example. For example, both Crawford BRZs and Robispec's FRS are tuned by Bill, and run strong!

Any dyno on stock exhaust, 91 gas and 90mm pulley?

cobrabyte 10-29-2013 05:43 PM

Would definitely like to see some more videos of the system in use... dyno, street, track... I'm easy. ;)

grostoine 10-31-2013 08:09 PM

Is the release date have been announce?

Or we are waiting for the 30th person to show?

It would be very nice to have at least an update or something ?
