axle-back short muffler?
axle-back straight pipes? no problem
axle-back only muffler (single pipe/outlet).. does anyone make? I remember back in the late 90s lots of Honda's rolled around with those short chubby mufflers, don't see those around anymore basically I want the weight savings of removing the oem muffler but without the super race noise of a straight pipe. also.. less materials, less cost? |
Nameless makes a muffled track pipe if that's what you're looking for?

awesome, thanks guys
I knew nameless did a nice straight pipe, I figured they stopped there. the price is right, too, seems like the perfect compromise. |
That's not going to muffle much sound.

from the reviews it's still better than the straight pipe I figure this would allow me to change it at home before driving out to an autocross and not attracting too much unwanted attention. cuz changing to a straight pipe AT the event is gonna be a pain in the ass (dirty + hot + limited time). |
I have one ordered with the production run that's going on now or about to start (ordered a few weeks ago). I'll let you know how it does and take video. Expecting it'll show up toward the end of next week based on what I've been told.
My setup is PTuning EL - Perrin Overpipe CNT Catted Frontpipe - stock midpipe - Berk single delete. I don't mind the volume but everyone else in my county probably does ;) |

^ true, forgot about that. |
Here's my set up. It's loud but very daily-friendly, oh and there's no drone while going 70mph.

That sounds awesome @akahenry!

It sounds like a cop magnet, but I'd still rock it.

Just go to your local muffler shop and tell them to weld in a Magnaflow universal (~70 bucks). I paid 150 total for that, and it's actually very quiet. If you want louder and cheaper, get a 2.75" glasspack instead.
