How common are 86/frs/brz where you live?

My location: new york city
Not very common, i see about 1-2 per week.

Long Island: 1 (rarely 2) a week tops. Saw one at my Toyota service center once.

I live in a city of 400,000 people and have seen 7 in 9 months. Of those 7, 2 were in towns nearby and one was on the highway.
From the London thread I know there are at least 20 more and there are a couple here going to school but overall they are pretty scarce.
Now... Up on the other end of town where the University and College are you may be tripping over them but I don't head that way much.

Kansas. They are rare in Wichita, don't think I've seen a single one yet (except the 3 or 4 that autocross'd at least once). Seen a couple in Kansas City. Seen at least 3 different BRZ/FRS's in Lawrence (college town). Everybody here has trucks and Mustangs/Camaros. I guess that's what appeals to people when you don't have any mountains or curvy roads.

Overall, I see one maybe once to twice a month. But I only drove 9000 miles the past year, mostly highway, so that affects how often I'm going to see other cars.

So-cal, land of the rice and nice. A couple frs every day, mostly white ones, hardly a day goes by that I don't see at least one. Rarely see a brz, maybe twice a month. Partly because nearby city El Monte has the biggest/#1 Toyota dealership in the world. Longo Toyota Google Earth
That lot is ALL toyota/scion/lexus, that 5/6 story parking structure is full of cars.

San Jose, CA --- heart of Silicon Valley

I see at least one a day. Usually an FR-S though. Lots of neat looking ones here, too!

Hmmmm.....There's 2 guys in my neighborhood....I work in town and don't see many on the road while I drive to and from work....although after washing n doing a quick detail on my car this evening I was driving to get dinner a guy in a raven 2013 FRS drove along side of me....We both gave each other the "Shaka" sign!

troek 03-28-2015 02:45 AM

id say i see about 3-4 per hour of driving. with how popular the car is over here, and how compact japan is, they are EVERYWHERE.

Daly City, CA/ South San Francisco, CA

There is one (or more) on every block.

I think this 4-mile street has about 10.

Super common everywhere in Los Angeles.

Orange County, CA... seriously 2-5 per day on a 15 min commute. I bet we have the highest per capita 86 concentration in the world. It's fucking ridiculous. I'm not exaggerating.

How many 'Stangs though?

xmadror 03-28-2015 03:37 AM

Pretty rare, I'm about 50km south of Montreal and in a year of ownership (will be exactly a year in a week!) I've seen the same raven frs about 4-5 times, the same whiteout frs 2-3 times + another whiteout once and one lava frs. I haven't seen another brz even though we have a Subaru dealer and no scion dealer in town.

Here in Eureka, CA. Small town, just beginning to see quite a few...as they are now 3 yrs old.

In San Francisco, when I visit...a dime a dozen...though Bimmers still seem to rule there.

By any standards, they are a cheap car...so, presently becoming ubiquitous...time to PlastiDip my wheels in a bright color just to stand out a wee bit.

Now here's something new ...LOL. (Jeep Chief)
