It's a social media stunt. They have an artist draw a picture to represent the speed of the FRS. People who tweet the event get their name on the ticker above the piece of art.

It's for lulz so people give free advertising by "word of mouth" aka social media.

Exactly, thank you! It's just a way for us to log on and like, tweet it, so that we can see our name pop up in Japan. Every few hours they draw something new on it. Also you can click the things drawn. Its just a fun way to countdown the TMS. Pretty good videos too, one of a pretty good sounding exhaust clip.

A few. GM had an internet based mechanism(really) that for every click nudged a Sawnick(tm) forward until it fell off of a tower. It didn't break, thanks in part to a bungie cord. :-/

Dave-ROR 11-21-2011 09:26 AM

There's a lot of people walking around the train station at 11:30PM on a monday night :P

Dave-ROR 11-21-2011 03:18 PM

I've had this up all day.. I feel kinda creepy. lol people are starting to go to work in Tokyo again.

Ikaros 11-21-2011 05:21 PM

^ lol I wonder if there's a sign to tell them they are being broadcasted on the internet lol. Can you imagine if we had a hidden camera somewhere on the street and some Japanese guy is watching us walk on the street.

Dave-ROR 11-21-2011 05:26 PM

I want to see some cute little Japanese girls start making out on screen but that hasn't happened. :( Some stupid cop likes to walk around in front of it though. Luckily I have two monitors so I just leave it up on one of them for occasional entertainment.

Ikaros 11-21-2011 05:30 PM

Lol the cop probably thinks it's actual graffiti or is suppose to guard it lol. As for Japanese girls kissing there it's probably not gonna happen cause their culture doesn't like public affection. Which is also why they have white people in their ads doing or posing provocatively. Well atleast that's what my Anthropology prof tells me.
