Free dyno for a BRZ and a couple more for a BRZ or FRS near Houston (Sealy TX.)

I would like to offer 3 free power pulls to a Subaru BRZ in the Houston area (Sealy to be exact).

Basically we have observed behaviors on the stock timing maps for our FRS that does not match the Ignition Advance Multiplier strategy in the ECU TEK reflash. I want to get a BRZ on our dyno, make a few pulls and then reset the ECU and see if the Subaru ones behave the same as the Toyota ones.

Since this is to satisfy my curiosity we will do this dyno testing at no charge.

Additionally, if anyone that is about to take delivery of a new FRS or BRZ in the Houston area is interested in seeing if they can duplicate our results in terms of horsepower gains from break in, we would also offer that individual a few free dynos as well. We would like to test your car at under 350 miles, at 2500 miles, 5000 miles, at 7500 miles after the first oil change and at 10,000 miles. Vehicle will need to remain stock for this time period for the test to be valid.

We will do all this at no charge to satisfy our own curiosity and as a service to the community to document how much power you can expect to see from the break in process and from ECU resets.

If anyone is interested in helping out with these tests please feel free to PM me or e-mail or call. This is not first come first serve - I reserve the right to pick whatever individual I feel is the most reliable and likely to comply with the terms of the testing.

Thanks!

If you are curious why we are doing this, please feel free to refer to our dyno thread, but basically we went from 165 on our first dyno to 172/173 at 10K and 177 at 10K after ECU reset, all just from break in.

Perfect - I didn't realize you had your new one already. Bring it on out dude! We can get the BRZ IAM and the break in power all figured out on the same car.

When do you want to come by?

I'll be getting one in a few weeks, and if ya'll are still in need of data I'd be glad to contribute. Live in the Med Center, work at 290 & 8.

Before moving to oil & gas, I did R&D for automotive control systems in grad school at UH. We were funded by Ford, Cummins, GM, Kohler, etc to do fueling control and emissions management stuff. Dug pretty deep into OEM strategy files. Whatever I can do to help the community (including ya'll), let me know.
