So I needed a name for my car and I looked up the Japanese word for Halo and found "Enkou" (I don't have a Japanese KB so I can't do the funky o with a line above it- maybe that's the difference?)

Since then I googled the translation of Enkou and came up with something different. Almost opposite... WTF?

Either way- KILLER name for a car. Does anyone speak Japanese? Can you explain?

probably because it is the wrong kanji of halo..

円光 is the right kanji for enkō/halo

同性愛者 is the right kanji for enko/halo

This reminds me of at least 4 personal friends that have Japanese/Chinese characters tattooed on their bodies.

The translation vs what the word actually says is so bad, I keep encouraging them to go to Asia and get laughed at.

Moral of the story? Unless you know what you are translating to, don't just go randomly search for a word online. Unless you want to have people talk about your car with regards to "dating for compensation",.... or perhaps you are a sugar daddy?
