Temporary paint protection (3M, VVivid, etc)
Hi,
I'd like to protect some parts of my car, only for the winter. I already have Xpel film for the entire front (bumper and full hood/fender). But last winter I noticed that the paint between the door and rear wheel gets a beating (it's at an angle). So I'd like to put tape there, but only for the winter, because I hate that you see the edge if you only do a small section. Maybe also do the front of the roof. So I need something that would be easy to remove in the spring. I saw VVivid film on amazon. Did someone use it? It's like a quarter of the price of the 3M. But does it still protect enough against rock, and will I curse at it when I remove it? |
Have you thought about XPel Tracwrap? I have it (haven't had to use it yet)
Not sure how it handles being put on long term |
Have you considered some rock guards? I have them on my car and they do a great job of protecting the car from debris thrown from my own tires. They don't have to be an obnoxious color, either.
