Yes. I'm aware of the led's. That's why I'm asking. Basically, if I delete my reverse light, is there a way that I can use this mod to have a reverse light in a different place (in the assembly with the brake lights and turn signals), except that I wouldn't need to add any LED's.
The reason I ask is that I've seen several posts from people who did this with their pre-17 twins after switching to this exhaust and losing the reverse light. Does that make sense, or am I misunderstanding the way this device works?

(given that they are not using the mod for it's explicit purpose, but rather taking advantage of a side effect)

You'll either have to replace all the amber LEDs with white ones, or not have a reverse light.

You could do a small LED strip with enclosure behind the stainless mesh.

Something like this. Just out of site till the lights are on. Thats just an idea but something along those lines.
