Any clear BRZ side marker / blinkers that don't leak?

I'm looking for new clear BRZ side markers that will blink (I like the extra safety from that amongst other reasons).

I previously bought and installed iJDMTOY side markers but they leaked and died. They wouldn't honor the warranty either. So now I'm looking for something that's quality, and works.

I was looking at these Razer Auto side markers:

Has anyone installed them? My specific questions about those:
- Do they leak?
- Is the installation straight forward?
- How do they look? Do they stick out too far?
- Are they similar in color when lit to the headlights, etc.?

I would just like some nice, clear side markers with blinker functionality.

If anyone has pictures and/or videos to share, that'd be great!

Why not go for OEM European spec?

Can't you just carry extra blinker fluid and replace it as it leaks out?

This, buy the highest quality lighting products you can afford. Cheap ebay stuff leaks, peels, poor output, hazes over. OEM usually has the best quality in my experience. I'd take parts of a junkyard car before new ebay crap.

Oem jdm.

I have helix light smoked and they don't leak, but others have the same and they have leaked.

The full synthetic blinker fluid tends to leak. Try a thicker non-synthetic with a stabilizer additive or the high mileage blinker fluids usually have the additive already.

If this doesn't do it, then your seals may be blown & you'll need a blinker rebuild.

Good luck

You can also do some preventative maintenance. My first set of helix markers leaked. With my second set, I put a thin layer of clear silicone around the sides and any location where parts connect. When I inserted the LED, I wrapped electrical tape from the housing to about 2 inches down the wire.
So far so good. We've had some torrential rain storms and it also made it through the entire winter.

I sealed mine with silicone around the edges where the plastic connects the moment I got them. Never had any issue. That being said, I live in California, so I don't get real rain.

OEM clear ones.

I've had the JDM OEM markers on my car since 2012, literally have never had this problem.

I like oem. I'm definitely for quality. But they don't blink do they? Aren't they just solid running lights?
I'm not a fan of doing wiring, etc. And I'm very novice.
It's there a way to make oem side markers blink?

Mvhs09 05-20-2016 04:26 PM

The sidemarkers do not blink and you cannot make them. Frs jdm clear ones are the best quality and will hook up nicely. No you do not have to wire it. It's plug and play
