It is true; it's already been confirmed at a press conference. Subaru will be cutting short the CY15 model after six months of production to free up manufacturing space for more Outbacks.

Please, stop these posts. This is getting ridiculous that we need FOUR different threads for this type of thing.

It's annoying.

Instant collectors item.

I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere so I'm not believing it yet. I can however seeing Subaru drop the BRZ from their lineup though.

Dr. BRZ 06-23-2014 06:08 PM

this means the 2013 models will become a collector's car and will double or triple the value!

lol.. The car would gain value, but think about it.. 10 years down the line, 40 years down the line.. Imagine how expensive it would be just to replace a BRZ/FRS-specific part. Wouldn't be worth driving anymore.

gramicci101 06-23-2014 06:15 PM

I'm honestly surprised they don't just let it get bigger and fatter as time goes on, until it's a puffy overweight, four door, wagon version of its former self. With AWD.

They could call it... a Forester.
