DIY: innovate Wideband Install for ecutek logging
 

Step 1: Get a innovate lc1/lc2

Step 2: Pop hood run o2 sensor wiring through "sound tube" hole.
(you will need to source a new grommet if you want it to seal around your wiring and seperate cabin and engine bay)

Step 3: Remove door seal. (it's the grey plastic piece that runs the length of the door, it pulls up by hand)

Step 4: Remove far passenger side kick panel near the door. (1) screw tab and a clip under the door seal.

Step 5: Remove glove box
(outer passenger side "hydrualic" removes easily by hand. then unclip it by pulling toward the seat)

Step 6: Disconnect plug from back of "cigarette lighter" 12v plug
(this will have a black wire and a white wire, we want the White for wide band power)

Step 7: reference www.ft86club.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1517748&postcount=1 to find the proper wire to cut for O2 sensor analog input.
(it will be light blue, cut it as far from the plug as possible so you have room to wire into it)
[step 7 may require you to remove a Subaru box if you have a limited BRZ, its two bolt to remove the bracket. these bolts (10 mm) can be found by opening the door and pulling the plastic piece at the end of the dash off by hand]

Step 8: Use the grounding bolt below the ecu, it will have 1-2 ground already on it, its a 10mm and removes easily

Step 9: wire in the power to the 12v source from the glovebox, ground to the ecu ground, and analog feed to the light blue plug in the above link

Step 10: Connect the wideband controller (in my case LC2). at this point i have the controller connected to the cable but the cable is not plugged into the sensor its self.

Step 11: Power on car (do not start), wideband controller will blink red twice over and over, leave alone for 1 minute

Step 12: power car off and plug in wideband

Step 13: power on car to clean air calibrate the sensor leave alone for 2 minutes

Step 14: power car off, disconnect sensor and install it. DO NOT POWER THE CAR ON WITH SENSOR UNPLUGGED!!!! you will lose your clean air calibration
(you will need to remove the secondary o2 sensor if you haven't already 7/8" or 22mm wrench)

Step 15: Plug o2 sensor back in and tidy up your wiring.

Step 16: Flash in a new rom with wideband map scaling.

Step 17: Enjoy!
