Has it been confirmed this is a Toyota test mule and not some aftermarket conversion? Strange that the top is not visible - your think that would be 90% of the design: how to design the folding (hard or soft) roof and where to stow it.
As for the pic with the girl... butterface? ;) I think more factory test mule cars should use attractive female drivers. There would be 100 spy shots but only a few would show much of the car. ;)
Re: Miata and S2000. You guys know they made hard tops for them you could buy if you liked the car but didn't want a convertible top, right? Heck, the last Miata made was available for the past 7 years with a retractable hard top!
Re: Targa or T-top GT86. Yes please! Targa, no t-tops. Full Mark IV Supra look! You could keep the roof lines the same - just make the top out of carbon fiber like the C7 Vette. (and hope it doesn't fly off at speed like the Z06 Vette!). Just design the top so it stows easily in the trunk - and not the tragedy that was the Solstice coupe where you had to leave the roof at home and if it rained, you had a fabric top to pull out to keep you dry. :bonk:
