Best EL setup for NA and turbo
Hey everyone, I'm new here. I'm looking for best EL header to put on my frs as a NA setup but that's able to easily be converted to turbo build when I'm ready to turbo.:burnrubber:

If you do supercharger the exhaust system is untouched and any would work. |
RedFR-s already explained that NA headers can't be used with most turbo setups but didn't answer the question of best NA header. Ace is widely regarded as the best NA EL header and the only EL header capable of eliminating the torque dip. pTuning also makes a proven race header for peak HP gains but it retains the torque dip like all other EL header designs. If you want the best, I'd stick to these 2.

Thanks guys!!:) Sounds good. I thought greddy or some company made a S pipe after the Header to take out to fit a turbo behind the engine but I could be wrong, can't find it

The JDL EL header can be used as an N/A header or turbo manifold, but it's not going to give N/A gains like the ACE header will. There will be gains, but not as much.
I would just wait if I were you, most turbo kits include the whole manifold and are sold at a discount compared to the individual parts. |
There are turbo kits that can be used with any header of your liking, but they are few. The ones I can think of right now are the Works turbo and the highly recommended P-Tuning turbo kit.
As for the best N/A EL header, this gets interesting. Many regard the ACE header to be the best EL header, but because this system replaces the overpipe, that excludes the two turbo systems I just mentioned above. |
Thanks again! Does the ACE header make good gains with a supercharger as well, I would consider a supercharger as well still sort of undecided, but I want to go the bolt on and tune path First to see the progression then forced induction route

P and L header looks like it could be retrofitted with a snail.. I am just speculating though, the custom turbo on that probably won't save you money.
I would honestly just go with catless long tube headers and a tune with some cam timing advance. Less headaches than FI; cooling, leaks, knocks, dilemma between forged/not-forged internals. If you want serious power just drop a 2jz or LSx in there and skip everything fa20 related (sell your fa20). |
